One customs broker, not a department

My name is Manos Aggouridakis and I am a customs representative and broker in Greece. My job is to get your goods through customs without delays, without surprises on the bill, and without leaving you liable for something that was declared wrongly.

I work with companies making their first import and with companies moving freight every week. The only difference is how much I need to explain — not how much attention I give it.

  Imports

  Tariff classification, declarations, duty and VAT calculation, DV1, licences and restrictions. You get the cost before you order, not after the container lands.

  Exports

  Export declarations, EUR.1 and certificates of origin, T1 transit, CMR. Followed through until the movement is discharged and you hold the proof of exit.

• EMCS · DEFK

  Alcohol excise

  Tax warehouses, registered consignees, e-AD and movement under suspension. The part where a mistake costs not an amendment but the duty on the whole consignment.

How I work

Most customs problems are not born at customs. They are born when something was ordered without anyone knowing which tariff heading it falls under, or when a certificate of origin was requested after the goods had already been loaded.

That is why I ask to talk early. A proforma and two questions before the order take ten minutes; the same conversation after arrival costs storage and delay.
